I took the scenic route into data analytics. Having graduated with a First in a modern languages degree, I thought I would become a conference interpreter in Brussels or Geneva.
While I was still figuring out that path, I took what I thought would be a temporary detour into the world of clinical research. I discovered that I loved the science industry, with its drive for innovation, and I took advantage of all the opportunities afforded to me to build out my skillset. Over the last 20 years I’ve held numerous positions within clinical operations, finance and HR, through which I discovered my passion for analytical thinking, and I pivoted from a translator of languages to a translator of data.
