Cyclistic bike-share: a case study

While taking the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, I worked on this data analysis as a capstone project.

Objective

Cyclistic is a fictional bike-share company operating in Chicago, US. To unlock growth, Cyclistic wants to launch a campaign to convert casual riders into subscribed members. This case study explores the different ways that casual riders and members use Cyclistic, and offers recommendations of actions that could be taken to encourage conversions.

Are seven bins more effective than one? In this case study, I explore the answer to this question using public data on recycling rates by local authority in England.

Situation

Last week I took my son to visit my parents for the half-term break. They live in St Helens, a town in Merseyside, north-west England. One evening while I was there, the conversation turned to the new recycling bag that the council had just issued to every household in the borough. Despite our Prime Minister’s recent promise that he will never allow ‘seven bins’ per household, it seems that is exactly what St Helens Borough Council is doing. The new 70L green bag that my parents received brings their total household waste receptacle count to exactly seven:

An interactive and dynamic dashboard that monitors UK Tesla inventory. The Tesla Model 3 dashboard allows users to monitor the current inventory of used Model 3 vehicles in the UK, view data on price, mileage and age, and create a shortlist of available vehicles matching specific criteria. Data is refreshed daily.

The story

The lease on my current car (a Renault Zoe) is set to end in January 2024. I have loved driving an electric car over the past two and a half years, and when my lease ends I know I want to continue driving electric. However, this time I want to buy rather than lease, and I want something different to a Zoe.
